You have appointed a task to yourself,
If you don't find a way,
Who will?
If you don't keep it well,
Who will?
You know what you must do.
It is just you and do not be afraid.
Even the ant bears the power to change
The whole course and fate of the world.
There, the darkness set loose,
The light itself must be brought here,
It will never stop its hunt,
Always chasing its need for light.
Dark loves and hates the light,
As dark loves and hates itself.
Darkness has its own sad story,
It was light once, before illusion found it.
Illusion drove it mad and cold.
Do not pity it, for light chose its own road.
You may feel nothing, numb and hollow,
Like you have fallen into shadow,
Not yet knowing your full purpose,
Of being alive and walking this earth.
Do not let emptiness fill your heart,
Do not let tears become your only truth.
There is hope, and it belongs to you.
Illusion cannot poison what lives deep in your soul.
Darkness has always had its part to play,
For good or evil, in every tale told.
Many who carry light deserve the darkness,
Some who carry darkness deserve the light.
So do not rush to judge another's road,
Even the wisest cannot see the end of the tale.
Your heart already knows
That darkness had to come,
Before the light could haunt it away.
The fate of darkness rules the fate of many,
But light has ruled this earth too,
Beside every woeful dark.
We will wish that darkness never comes,
But we are not the ones to decide that.
All we can decide
Is what to do with the time we have.
Thus, my friend and dweller of earth,
Have hope and faith in yourself.
Rise up from the darkness,
Let the illusion be cast away.
Make your life a great tale,
Something that feels like a fairy tale.
Even those who never wanted to understand
Will feel the weight of your adventure.
Then you will have your victory
The victory that truly matters,
Earned through darkness and danger,
Through every hard and heavy path.
Because how could the light not come?
Cheer yourself with words of victory.
You are meant to have this life,
And so are all of us who dwell on earth.
But in the end,
It is just the passing of time.
Even darkness has not ruined you.
A new day will begin
When the sun starts rising,
Shining clearer and brighter than before.
All of it was part of your tale,
And every part of it mattered.
But I think, my friend, I think
You already understand.
There were many ways to turn back,
But you never did.
You kept going, on and on.
You let the winter come,
And eventually, you brought the spring,
Because everything you are holding onto,
There is so much good in this world.
And it is worth it.
Dare to.
Very beautifully written. Every line carried a feeling of its own.
